Internet Tutoring for 4th-9th Grades

Education is more than the knowledge of facts. It is the learning to learn "THE HOW"-Me (12/2005)
I am available by appointment between 3pm-8pm, Monday through Thursday, and Saturdays 10am-1pm, being the instructor, trainer, and guide to learning the how of learning for levels Kindergarten through 9th grade. The subjects of Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies will be the courses of study.
My credentials are my achievements on State and final exams, the function of a 90.00 average "Honor Student" and a graduate of Yale University. Learning can be achieved in the face of teacher-school obstacles.
With the resources available on the internet,it is now possible to home school and supplement your child's learning above what is achievable in public schools. As THAT knowledge is DISCOVERED by, not spoon fed to, the individual mind, it will begin to appreciate the power and process of discovery in mental development.
Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies are the tools and building blocks. Reading is primary so one can grasp the use of symbols and the language they convey. Math is the basic element of the quantitative grasp of science. Science is the exploration of evolved creation and its natural laws. Social Studies is the investigation cultural activity and thought over the ages.
I will use this group page, the email address, HungryMind1971@excite.com and http://groups.yahoo.com/group/hungrymindscenter/, as the primary source to communicate with the attendees. If there needs to be a SEMINAR or GROUP discussion, the internet has chat room sites, such as TalkCity.com. Those events will be scheduled and notice will be sent to the guardian or parent one week before if not scheduled in the lesson plan.
My goal is to give supplemental training and instruction. The measure of my program will be the academic progress the student achieves between testing and grade report cycles.
